The 8th annual Crystal Apple Award winners have been announced. The Crystal Apple award is a special way for the youth of Aliso Niguel, Laguna Beach, Laguna Hills and Dana Hills high schools to recognize and thank the teachers who have had a positive impact on their life. This year teachers have had to learn to adapt to online learning and teaching in new ways; and we want to recognize teachers who go above and beyond, inspiring and connecting with their students, despite unusual circumstances. High school students were asked to nominate inspiring teachers and share why they think their teacher deserves a Crystal Apple. Two teachers from each high school were awarded the Crystal Apple this year. Our 2021 winners are:

DANA HILLS HIGH SCHOOL - DR. SARIKA SHARMA AND JOEL TAPPER

LAGUNA BEACH HIGH SCHOOL - RICKIE FARNES AND SANDRA JOHNSON

LAGUNA HILLS HIGH SCHOOL - CARRI GEIGER AND RAUL MOLINA

Due to health concerns, we will not hold our annual Crystal Apple Awards ceremony in person. Breakfasts are being held at each high school to show our appreciation for all our teachers during this extraordinary year.
